Dr. Nicholas Naani-Zangina, a businessman with a financial background, donated 16 laptops to the Upper East Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress, NDC.
The essence of the donation is to properly position the party in a manner that can help coordinate election activities and collate results from the polling station level to the constituency and regional levels.
Dr. Zangina recently became a member of the Upper East Regional Communication team of the NDC. His decision to join the communication given his background in accounting has been described as timely since matters of the economy will take center stage in the political debate in the lead up to the 2024 elections.
Donating the laptops, Dr. Zangina noted that the victory of the party in December is largely hinged on the activities and support individuals members can galvanize for the party at various levels.
Such support according to him should not be born out of the desire to benefit tomorrow. Rather, it should be about supporting a party that can transform the country to take charge of the affairs of the country.
It is on this score that he is calling on party members who are capable in their small way to help secure victory in the December elections.
“I’m here in my capacity as a member of the party to donate these items. Elections cannot be won with team resources and physical resources. So, when it comes to the team resources, the party has the men but where we are constrained is the logistics so the onus lies on every individual and member of the party to support in that direction. It is on this basis that I donated these 16 laptops.”
He continued stating “This donation is born out of my desire to give back to the party that nurtured me and not against any claim or benefits in future.” He stressed.
Receiving the items, the Upper East Regional Chairman of the NDC, Alhaji Mumuni Bolnaba expressed gratitude and called on other individuals to support in the agenda to rescue the country.
“We are grateful to you for the support but tell your friends to equally come to our aid because we need support to be able to work for the victory of the party.” The Regional Chairman admonished.
