Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has taken on his estranged wife May Yul-Edochie, accusing her of manipulating people on social media to hate him.
The couple, whose marriage has been in a turmoil after Yul announced the birth of his son with colleague actor Judy Austin, lost their eldest son in June 2023.
In a post on new year day reflecting on the preceding year, May described 2023 as one that stole her flesh and blood and left her devastated and confused.
Her post generated reaction from many social media users who sympathized with her over the loss of her son while calling out Yul for being insensitive about the child’s death.
But reacting in a post on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, Yul accused May of being manipulative.
“2023 stole your flesh and blood, but you still had enough time to do breast enlargement surgery and tummy tuck without your husband’s consent. Obviously endorsed by your married boyfriend,” he stated.
According to him, while his estranged wife carries herself as someone, who is troubled, in the public domain in a bid to gain sympathy and paint him bad, she is secretly enjoying her life including having extramarital affairs and undergoing tummy tuck and boobs enlargement surgery without his approval.
“Enough of the manipulation. Stop manipulating people on social media to hate me and feel pity for you while you enjoy your life secretly. Because they don’t know the real you”.
He said he had tried to protect her image by not saying anything negative about her since their marital issues became public but could not take it any longer because of her persistent attempt to dent his image.
“I will not take it in 2024. I’ve been silent for too long. I’ve been doing my best to protect your image while you’re doing all you can to destroy mine”.
