Individuals who have subscribed to MTN Ghana will have to ready themselves for a new phase of the network in terms of service in various spheres.

This is so because the telecoms giants is injecting 1 billion US dollars in a bid to improve voicing, data, mobile money services among other transactions and online activities.

The investment has already seen the network provider expand service cell sites to many communities that previously had serious challenges with network connectivity for voice, data and other related transactions.

Over the years the company has made strides in areas like mobile money which currently has 280, 000 agents and 140,000 merchants thereby helping to fill the huge unemployment gap.

In the area of mobile money, the telecoms giant is equally working to implement merchant interoperability which will allow the same merchant to be able to do transactions with other networks especially Vodafone as they are currently in talks to finalize the move.

Despite the progress being made, fibre cuts remain the  major challenge as several Construction activities leave them counting losses since the funds used to repair a fibre optic line could be used to expand to other areas.

A challenge they hope stakeholders especially government agencies will help to address to reduce the challenges that often come with such cuts.

Over the period, MTN has paid 4 billion in government revenue and invested hugely in social impact interventions.
