Dr. Wilfred Akapanga, the Chief Executive Officer of Reality Maker LTD and a Business Coach has decried  how the actions of some regulatory bodies in Ghana does not augur well for business progression.

He details that the operational procedure of many regulatory bodies are not openly available for the public thereby making it difficult for individuals who have either started or intend to start a business in the country.

According to him, this has given room for some people to take advantage of the process to milk business operators and the state.

Speaking Tuesday on the State of Our Nation, Dr. Akapanga says many individuals are not aware of the processes involved and very little is being done to create awareness.

“Many business operators do not know exactly where to start from, how to go around their things and you only be there before you notice you are slapped  with some fines and some penalties. In the place, you did not know that you were operating wrongly.

They say ignorance of the law, yes but the state needs also take steps to let’s be in the known.  I’m talking about the starters, people who want to go into businesses, how the regulatory agencies stifle their activities,” he states.

Though he admits that there are some business operators who deliberately dodge the process, the state institutions still have a lot to do to create awareness and ensure people do not have to struggle overtime to get basic things done.

“I think that there’s a long way to go when it comes to really getting people to understand what they need to do to be able to operate smoothly and to operate without causing harm and danger to human life. The agencies that be need to be up and doing to get us properly informed as what to do when it comes to registration”.
